Site: David Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh, PA

In collaboration with Skyler Adamski, Christina Brown, Dan Cascaval, Dina Chen, and Scarlet Tong, the main motive for this project was to make a hoop house that will sit on top of a concrete parallelogram-shaped planter on top of the roof of the David Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh. Our design was generated mainly through the use of simple geometries of the trapezoidal shape. With that in mind, we focused on its wind resistance and overall interaction with the surrounding environment with the overall motive of keeping the inhabiting plants and herbs thriving within our hoop house throughout harsher environmental conditions.
